Compton is a small village just outside and South West
of Guildford in Surrey.
Guildford is a City of 150,000 people and is
located 35 miles (60 kms) Southwest of London.
Arriving by Train:
There are fast trains (35 mins) from London Waterloo
to Guildford, at least twice an hour.
Waterloo International train station is just 3 hours
from Brussels or Paris.
Arriving by Air:
Heathrow is 30 minutes away by Taxi (but this is
expensive). Alternatively, a Coach leaves each Heathrow terminal every half
hour to Woking Railway Station (30 mins) and then it is a short train journey
to Guildford (10 mins) followed by a 5 min Taxi ride to AAT (or 10 mins from
Woking by Taxi).
Gatwick is 45 mins by Taxi, but it is better (and much
cheaper!) to get the train to Guildford from Gatwick Airport Railway Station.
The train journey is very scenic - passing through very pleasant Surrey
countryside to Guildford. Then taxi to AAT.
If you are determined to get a Taxi from the airport,
they can be booked to pick you up at both Heathrow or Gatwick Arrivals (its

56. The fare from Heathrow is approx. £29, and from Gatwick £32 if
pre-booked (more if not).
The Taxi service will need your name and Flight
Number.
Taxi is a good option if you are flying to Heathrow, and can, of
course, be shared.

Jarvis Hogs Back Hotel. Nearby. Good facilities.

Manor House Hotel, Newlands Corner. In the Country (on
other side of Guildford). Recommended. Tel. 00 44 1483 222 624. Room Rate
£80 (20 minutes by taxi to AAT).
Jarvis White Horse. Guildford Town Centre. Convenient.

Kings Arms & Royal Hotel. Godalming. Godalming is
